Thank you to everyone who wrote feedback and expressed interest in participating in or volunteering for the 41^st Heritage Planning Committee. The meeting will be held on February 26^th, 2025, at 5:30 in Frissell Hall.

This meeting will be the first introductory meeting for anyone looking to volunteer. Please spread this to the community as well. If anyone thinks they may want to join or volunteer, please have them come out.

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of Gullah pyrography as we proudly present the works of renowned artist Reverend Johnnie Simmons. On February 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, experience the beauty and storytelling inherent in his unique creations that bring natural wood and acrylics to life.

Begin your journey at the Welcome Center, where you can enjoy a warm welcome, before moving on to The York W. Bailey Museum to explore the exhibit titled "Homecoming: The Pyrography of Reverend Johnnie Simmons." This extraordinary collection features intricate pieces that narrate heartfelt tales of farm life, fishing adventures, classic Chevy trucks, and much more.

This exhibition will be on display until May 2025, providing ample opportunity to appreciate the artistry and cultural significance of Reverend Simmons' work.
